In 1992 LTE returned to private ownership and has been owned by the same family ever since.

In December 2001, LTE acquired the business of a Northampton-based sterilizer manufacturer called Autoclave Control and Engineering (ACE), whose operation included a large service business and the design and manufacture of larger capacity steam sterilizers, serving the laboratory, medical and pharmaceutical markets. This acquisition took LTE into the medical market for sterilizers and provided us with the ability to supply machines with a much higher capacity (up to 6000-litres). Renamed LTE Touchclave Systems, production was centralized to LTE’s HQ in July 2004 and since then, growth in the Touchclave brand has been steady and sustained.

In 2007 LTE diversified further into the medical sector with a range of cabinets for the drying and storage of processed endoscopes. LTE’s Scope-Store range has grown in popularity since its launch, and has established a strong presence in the UK and overseas. The introduction of our new Scope-Store IQ+ takes us to new levels of performance.

LTE has always paid great attention to its products. Many factors, from the accurate performance of its products to the general build quality, longevity and reliability have all helped to maintain LTE’s outstanding reputation in the market.

LTE Scientific also make special equipment to meet a customer’s specific requirements and indeed, this type of work makes up a substantial proportion of the company’s total output. Special autoclaves and environmental rooms form just part of our customised service.

Our nationwide service team have become a staple part of the LTE service offering. Our HTM and UKAS registered engineers complete equipment repairs and servicing from our Manchester service centre and are often completing field-based work for many of our customers.
